It depends on two things: how much you are sending and which standard you want it to. A handful of infantry to Battle Ready is a very different job to a Display standard centrepiece with freehand on it.

Rather than quote you a number that sounds good and then miss it, I look at what is already on the bench and give you a realistic window along with your price. If a project is big enough that a single delivery does not make sense, we can stage it so models come back to you in batches.

On larger projects I am also happy to set up a payment plan, so a full army does not have to land in one hit. Just mention it when you get in touch.

Yes. I am based in Swindon, so if you are local you are very welcome to drop off and collect in person, but plenty of work arrives by post from across the UK.

Pack them properly and use a tracked service. Loose models rattling around in a shoebox tend to arrive as a bag of parts, which just adds repair time to the job. If you are unsure how to pack something awkward, message me first and I will talk you through it.

Commission slots are genuinely open, which is exactly why it says so. I am one person at one bench, so I only take on what I can actually do justice to.

Yes. Assembly is a priced service on its own, covering cleaning up mould lines, building, gap filling and priming, and you can add it to any painting standard.

It runs from £2 for standard infantry up to £40 for something the size of a Baneblade. You can also book assembly on its own if you would rather do the painting yourself.

Custom schemes are very welcome, and honestly they are some of my favourite jobs. Recent commissions have included a custom Cadian Shock Trooper scheme for a client's new Guard army and a neon vapourwave Ambot that fought me the whole way.

One brief was a portrait of an 1800s lady with the request to bring the painting to life. Bring me your successor chapter, your house colours, or your terrible idea. I will tell you honestly whether it will work on the model.

Usually yes, and there is no shame in it whatsoever. Half painted units are the most common thing in the hobby.

Send me photos before anything else. What is already on the model decides whether I can build on it or whether it is cleaner to strip it back, and that changes the price, so I would rather see it than guess.

Yes, and you will get them whether you ask or not. I send work in progress pictures as a project moves along so the finished models are never a surprise.

If there is a specific detail you care about, tell me early. I would much rather ask you about it at the right moment than make a call you would not have made.

Tell me. That is the whole policy, and it is why I share progress pictures as I go, so problems get caught while they are still easy to fix rather than after everything is varnished.

If something has come out wrong against what we agreed, I will put it right. I want you to be pleased with these, and I would far rather spend an extra evening on a model than have it sit in your cabinet annoying you.

No. I am not limited to 40k at all. I am happy to take commissions for Age of Sigmar, Horus Heresy, Blood Bowl, Star Wars: Shatterpoint, Star Wars: Legion and Marvel Crisis Protocol among others.

My own cabinet is a very mixed place. If you have something unusual, ask, because a new challenge is half the appeal.

It comes down to model count and standard. As a rough guide, standard infantry runs £10 each Battle Ready, £15 Battle Ready Plus+ and £20 Display, while characters and vehicles are priced individually.

The estimator on the prices page lets you build up your whole force line by line and see roughly where it lands. Every price is confirmed properly before any paint goes on.

Battle Ready bases are free on every model, from 25mm up to 170mm, finished in textured paint.

Battle Ready Plus+ bases add shading, highlights and small embellishments like tufts, and run £1 to £5 by size. Display bases use more detailed effects such as crackle paint and under layering with small and medium embellishments, and run £2 to £15 by size.
